Last Saturday I photographed the very refined and beautiful wedding of Sarah-Jane and Rob out at Rhinefield, in the New Forest, Hampshire. Sarah-Jane and Rob met whilst studying at the same university some years ago. Things obviously went well as they later embarked on an amazing adventure together when they decided to emigrate to Sydney Australia. I was lucky enough to watch their biggest adventure yet unfold before my eyes as they asked me to provide their New Forest wedding photography. Sarah-Jane and Rob opted for a lavish marquee wedding in the garden of Sarah-Jane’s childhood home to which 200 guests were invited – many of which had flown in from around the world including Australia, Singapore, Israel and New York. Here is a very small selection of photos from the day… (yes, this really is a small selection from this wedding). I hope you enjoy.
Sarah-Jane is an adventurous bride at heart and it was at this location on their engagement shoot back in January that she first mentioned the idea of the bridesmaids and groomsmen wearing wellington boots and standing in the stream for photographs. Rob wasn’t too sure about this idea at first but they all had great fun when it came down to it and it was nice for all involved to jump in the car and drive through the forest before heading back to the house for the drinks reception.
Sarah-Jane and Rob opted to drive further along the road towards Rhinefield where they posed for a few photos by themselves. It’s always a good idea for the bride and groom to take a few moments for themselves during the wedding day when they can let it all sink in and enjoy each other’s company in quieter surroundings. This particular spot is a favourite of Sarah-Jane’s as she enjoyed many walks here as a child.
This was such a gorgeous wedding and I absolutely loved the white fairy lights in the marquee, they definitely give it that extra pazazz and looked so pretty on the day. Thank you so much to Sarah-Jane and Rob for inviting me to photograph their gorgeous wedding, and thanks also to Sarah-Jane’s parents for all their efforts with communication. They had a lot to do with Sarah-Jane and Rob living so far away!
