When a bride contacts me with an enthusiastic email, followed by a an even more enthusiastic phone call, I just know we’re going to get on well. Amie first contacted me last summer; she was fun, happy, enthusiastic and so lovely to talk to on the phone. You could say it was like chatting to an old friend. At this point we had never met. A few weeks ago (almost a year since Amie first got in touch), I met Amie and Sam for their Explosion Museum engagement shoot. This is where they’ll be having their wedding reception next month. Amie and Sam had been a little nervous about their photo shoot but they really had no reason to be. We walked around the museum together, and discussed their plans for the wedding before heading outside for some photos. The weather was glorious and Amie and Sam looked radiant as they posed for the camera.
Amie and Sam have been friends since they were eleven years old, but it took a while for these childhood sweethearts to realise their true feelings for each other. For a while they went their separate ways but one day, Sam heard that Amie was working in Malia and he just so happened to be going to Malia on a lads holiday (between you and me, I think Sam tracked her down, but who can blame him?). So there it was, in Malia that these adventurous souls realised they were destined to be more than friends and four years later, they find themselves planning to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife.
